Hercules Standard
Model D Carrier
1929

The Hercules Standard Model D carrier is a 1929 trade bicycle fitted with a Trojan Mini Motor engine. It has no gearing, other than the single speed delivered by the engine. The engine is started through assistance from a decompression lever.

With front and rear rod brakes, a rear wheel frame-mounted dynamo generator for road lighting, and a handlebar-mounted bell with a pleasantly unique tone, the Hercules also has an original Dunlop spring-loaded seat, and a customisable logo plaque – currently displaying a graphic for ‘The Firewood Man’. There is also a side stand, and a storage basket affixed over the front wheel mudguard. This vehicle is V5 registered.
